Belgium uses the "Single Permit" system which combines work and residence authorization.

• Single Permit (Combined Permit): Issued for a specific employer. For highly skilled workers, salary thresholds apply (€48,912 in Flanders, €3,703/mo in Brussels for 2025).
• EU Blue Card: For highly educated workers with a higher salary threshold (€66,738 in Wallonia/Brussels).
• Professional Card: For self-employed individuals and entrepreneurs.
