Visa Types
The Netherlands offers various visa programs tailored to professional and highly skilled individuals:
- Highly Skilled Migrant (Kennismigrant): The most common route. Requires a job offer from an IND-recognized sponsor with a minimum salary threshold (different for those under/over 30 years old).
- Orientation Year (Zoekjaar): Available for 1 year to graduates from top global universities. It allows you to work without a separate work permit while searching for a long-term role.
- EU Blue Card: For highly qualified employees with at least a 3-year bachelor's degree and a higher salary threshold. It offers easier mobility within the EU after 18 months.
- Intra-Corporate Transferee (ICT): For employees being transferred from outside the EU to a Dutch branch of the same company in a management, specialist, or trainee position.
- Startup Visa: For entrepreneurs with an innovative business idea and a mentor (facilitator) in the Netherlands.
