Visa Types
The US offers multiple professional work visa categories, each designed for specific employment situations and skill levels.
- H-1B Visa (Specialty Occupations): For professionals in specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree or higher. Subject to annual cap and lottery system. Valid for 3 years, extendable to 6 years.
- L-1 Visa (Intracompany Transfer): For executives (L-1A) and specialized knowledge workers (L-1B) transferring from foreign offices. L-1A valid up to 7 years, L-1B up to 5 years.
